last night....MOZ..

Photobucket

Last night a bunch of us went to go see Morrissey play at Carnegie Hall. I had never been there, and had no idea what the set up would be like. I was overwhelmed by the hall itself. I was with Nima, Jeff and Travis, and everyone else had seats in other section, but we knew eventually we would all meet up somewhere and enjoy the show together. But we never expected it to be as awesome as it was. As we got to our "seats" we were lead to a room, with a locked door. We had to be let in by an usher with a key. It was our own little box seat on the balcony, with about 8 seats in it. There were 4 of us together and 2 older men in front (not together) and 2 around 30 something year old guys behind us. We immediately called our friend and told them to come meet us because we had our own little room. the other guys really didn't care. the 2 older guys just sat there in front of us and the 2 younger guys stepped over to the box to the right of us and let us have all the room. We took all the chairs out of the room so we had more room to dance around. it was amazing, we were the only box that was jumping all around and singing at the top of our lungs, it was great. The best part is that Morrissey came out wearing a fricken tuxedo! (as you can see above) sooooo awesome! We had such and awesome time. here is a video that i took, you can hear everyone singing around me...

After the show we went to Sweet Paradise to get our drink on. It was boring at first, but then the dj put Morrissey on, it was over. we all got up and started dancing. then another dj went on and played other shit, but we were all into dancing already we just kept it going. definitely started the party. I thought i was just gonna chill for a bit, but we all ended up getting wasted and dancing! it was such a fun night. good shit.

on another note, jason and kana leave today. they just stopped by to say goodbye. it was a short, but sweet trip for them. Travis and Nicole are still here, they don't leave til the 30th. i should see them tonight at jade's boyfriends birthday party at alston's apt basement. we are just gonna get drinks and party all night. jade, alston and justin are just going to dj and have a rager!! haha. oh house parties..always fun! especially when you are celebrating something, with a bunch of close friends. yay!

i love when friends visit...

It won't be nearly as epic as it was in this picture, but we are making an attempt. Travis is coming on the 19th and Jason and Kana get here on the 23rd. it's going to be so nice to have some old friend in the city. I miss them so much and need to have them around every once in a while. Separately, Steve Kanemoto will be here in April too! I video chatted with Aaron and Barry, while they were (are) in Berlin. Barry said he is probably going to come out here in a few months too! He has been booked to DJ at a party out here. That should be fun too! I say there should always be at least one visitor in town every day of this year. haha. that would be amazing. or at least every month. that would actually be pretty exhausting. Anyway, I am very excited to have them in town, should be a good time!

hells angels party..

there are motorcycles parked aaaalllllll the way up greenwich street. from spring to christopher! they are getting wasted. half the party flooded out to the street. here are some pics. scary and fun at the same time.

Swaaaayyzie..

to party or not to party..that is the question. my new schedule is to have Mondays and Thursdays off for the next 3 months in a row. so i am excited to be able to go to Sway on Sundays for Morrissey night! BUT..I don't get tomorrow off because JJ needed the day off to go to the Morrissey concert in Jersey. BOOOO. but my girls are all planning on going, which means it will be a good time. i just don't know if i have the energy for it..i am so tired right now. i have been tired for the past 3 days or so. LAZY!

Anyway, so Jason called me last night and told me that he and Kana are definitely coming and that he was just about to buy their tickets. I think around the 22nd-26th or so. They want to stay with me for some reason. and i live in a studio apartment. there is just a full sized bed, a dresser and table. they are just going to sleep on the floor, hopefully on an air mattress. jj and kalani live right across the street, and have way more space than me. but he would rather stay with me on my floor in my small room. haha. oh well, he says he and kana are ok with it, so..i guess they're ok with it. BUT now i really have to clean up. my apartment is pretty much always a mess, so serious cleaning is in the plans for the next week. AND i need do to laundry like nobodies business.

So the Hell's Angels are beginning to arrive. My co-worker loves motorcycles so she is ohhhing and ahhh ing. haha. adorable.

i feel today is going to be another boring day. hopefully i get drunk enough after dinner to get my as to sway. i need some fun. been staying home every night for like 3 nights in a row. booooring.

MOZ...

March 26th...Carnegie Hall NYC. I can't wait. I have seen him twice during his last tour. Once in LA and once in NY. Both awesome, but the LA show was better. Mad mexicans singing all the words, girls passing out and being carried out by security. Like a real fuckin concert, with REAL fans. Like old school MJ days. It was amazing. I've always loved Morrissey, i think you really realize the depth and greatness of his music when you've got the glooms. you can enjoy his music all you want when you're happy and cheerful, but it's a whole different experience when you are down in the dumps, with heart ache and sadness. his words become so much clearer, your appreciation is much greater. not that you should all get depressed and listen to his music, but having never really been heartbroken, sad or depressed, feeling these emotions (or close to them) for the first time, i see a clear difference. And i appreciate it, and i am grateful to have experienced it.

my eyes are burning. i'm tired, but i slept for around 9 and a half hours last night. i have been getting tired so much earlier this past week. i have been sleeping at or around midnight every night. that's kinda early for me. i have to work 6 days in a row starting today, yesterday being the first of my 7 days stretch. so i am not sure how badly i will be feeling like going out this next week. but travis arrives on the 18th, so maybe i will save myself for when he's here and we'll go out more.

Don Hill of Don HIll's next door came by yesterday to let us know that the Hell's Angels will be having a St. Patrick's Day party there tomorrow. He said "it's not like in the movies, these guys are like 65 year old's on motorcycles, you'll just see a bunch of motorcycles all down the street." hahaha, i can't wait. 65 year old Hell's Angels, gonna be great.

oh, and btw, if anyone's interested....

i just realized....

that's a horrible last post to keep up. so i am writing this one, for the sole reason of not letting the last one, be the last one. so there. i'm feeling better. my heart on my shoulder is healing...my actual heart...on the upswing..
