Holy shit! last night was one of the most amazing days/nights of my life, and in american history. I was at a friends apartment with a bunch of friends watching the election....so nervous, scared and also kinda of excited though you never know what could happen. at 9, we kinda already had a strong feeling barack had it, after they announced Pennsylvania,...but we still had a few more key states to win, but at 11pm, when the polls on the west coast closed, and they announced officially that barack obama was to be the 44th president of the United States of America,..we all jumped up and started to scream!! a few minutes later we heard screaming from the streets, and decided we had to get out there. we got down to the street and everyone was screaming, honking their horns, jumping around!! it was amazing. it was like rejoiceing of the entire city. people were yelling "OBAMA!!!" from their windows, every which where they were screaming. we went to watch his acceptance speech on the street with the rest of the new yorkers, and just got all teared up. i couldn't help it. they are just a vision of beauty, president, first lady, vice president and his wife standing there,..looking like the perfect picture. i am in love......
